Story

Cody and I met at The Copper Penny in Stillwater, OK on October 19, 2013 after an OSU football game. I was out enjoying the evening with my friend Erica when this random girl asked if I knew a guy named "Cody Bradshaw". I told her that, "No, I did not." She then moved her chair to the left and I see this tall, dark and SUPER handsome man in a black Columbia pullover looking right at me with this cute-as-can be grin. After an introduction to this "Cody Bradshaw" guy, he began to tell me what a "big deal" he was and his sense of humor melted my heart and it made me laugh. So naturally when he asked for my number so he could take me on a date the next day, I said yes. We have been together and inseparable ever since!

Tidbits

What's your favorite activity together?

Cody and I LOVE to travel and try new things. We enjoy our annual fishing trip to Louisiana and our yearly ski trip to Colorado with his family, but what we enjoy the most is being at home with one another driving around on the 4-wheeler checking on our cattle and Pecan trees while taking in God's goodness and beauty. It is in those moments that I am most grateful that God brought this country boy and city girl together.

Oh and two stepping, duh. We love two stepping. You will be seeing lots of that on our wedding day and I hope you join us!

What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?

Well...we could only narrow it down to ohh... FOUR! (One was just way too hard.) The first most memorable trip was our very first trip together when we went skiing in Colorado with Cody's best friend and his wife in December 2013. I had never been skiing before and Cody actually got to teach me! He was so patient and encouraging, but in true Cody fashion, he gave me a hard time as well! He even sprayed me with snow a few times when I would fall. We will never be able to hear the song, "Timber" without thinking of that trip. The second most memorable trip was our fishing trip to Venice, LA with our good friends, Joe and T in May 2017. We went deep see fishing for Tuna and Red Snapper. We had caught our limit for the day, had lots of laughs (and even naps on the bean bag), went back to the Marina and they fried up our fish! It was so yummy and just a neat experience to eat the fish we caught right at the marina. The third most memorable trip is when we went to Cabo in June 2017. We had so much fun relaxing by the pool, meeting new friends, snorkeling, kayaking and dancing the night away. Cody even surprised me with a romantic dinner on the beach. It was so thoughtful and made me feel really special. I swear I fell in love with him all over again. Last, but most certainly not least, was our most recent adventure to Alaska in July 2017! I never in a million years thought I'd get to visit Alaska, but my adventurous man is so good about getting me out of my comfort zone. We went fishing on the Kenai River, took evening plane rides over Soldotna and Kenai thanks to our friends Jessica and Dustin, we took a day trip to Seward getting to see the most beautiful scenery ever and even crashed a SeneGence party in downtown Anchorage before we came back to Oklahoma!

Where are you going for your honeymoon?

We are going to South Africa for 17 days. Our first 7 days will be spent at a hunting and safari lodge, then we are heading to Cape Town for a few days of sight seeing and visiting wine country. We will end our honeymoon with a helicopter ride to an island off of the coast of Mozambique for 3 days before heading back to the US.

What nicknames do you have for each other?

Anyone who has been around us for any length of time knows our "nickname" for one another is, BABE. We say it to one another ALL THE TIME.
